Affiliate marketing is about collaborating on marketing. This is done by paying other websites to provide more visitors, get more sales, etc. to your webshop.

All contact between you and affiliate partners (those who publish for you and your webshop), takes place through a so-called affiliate network. Everything called terms and prices are agreed through the network, and they also make sure to track the conversions that the affiliate partners make.

Affiliate marketing is therefore basically the same as online marketing, but the difference is that affiliate marketing pays out based on results and not a fixed budget.
